Section 8 Larson

 

The Housing Authority of Grant County has 47 units in North Moses Lake area, otherwise known as Larson Air

Force Base. Units available are two, three and four bedrooms. These homes are subsidized with Section 8

project-based assistance. The difference with this program and the Section 8 voucher program is the assistance made

available by Housing and Urban Development, remains with the house and not the tenant. The Housing Authority

receives rental assistance payments from HUD based on the Housing Authorities contract held with U.S. Department of

Housing and Urban Development. The family pays 30% of adjusted monthly income and HUD pay the Housing

Authority the amount equal to the rent allowed under the contract. Tenant is responsible for electric.
