Esperanza migrant housing development

The Esperanza Housing Development provides a safe and clean short-stay residential space for individuals and families who are employed in seasonal agricultural work in and around the Mattawa area.

Esperanza Eligibility Information:

  1.  The applicant must be a citizen of the United States; a Legal Resident admitted for permanent U.S. residency. A copy of your U.S. Birth Certificate, Resident Alien Card, or U.S. Passport must be provided along with the application.

  2. In the last 12 months you must have made at least $3525 in eligible agricultural work to be classified as an agricultural worker and eligible for this program.

  3. The applicant must be 18 years of age or older.

  4. No pets are allowed except for documented service animals.

  5. A copy of everyone's U.S. Birth Certificate, Permanent Resident Alien Card, Drivers License, or ID, Passport and Social Security Card is needed for all adult household members. Copy both sides if anything is written on the back. If your spouse or children were not born in the U.S., please provide a Birth Certificate from where they were born.

  6. Provide most recent employer information or last Income Tax Return and W-2 forms that you filed.

  7. Your adjusted annual family income may not exceed the Moderate Income amount for Grant County.
